Hot Tub at Inn of The Dove
Harrisburg, PA
After seeing Tabi off to her 1st day of school, taking the girls to lunch, then
to my Father's gravesite to place flowers on it, Gabie and I headed on to Pocono
Mountain area for our honeymoon at Paradise Stream, a Caeser's Pocono Resort
We were a little scared when we saw this sign pulling in:
Then when we saw this vehicle parked outside one of the villas, we got really
scared:
But the kicker, for those of you who know how much I love Dumb and Dumber, was
seeing our hotel room's hot tub:
As well as the round bed from Austin Powers (Do I make you horny, babee??? Well,
Do I???)
But overall, the room was pretty nice, with our own heated pool, fireplace, and
sauna
There was plenty to do, as well, all types of activities, game room, and
entertainment
By the way, I AM A SEXY BITCH:
Unfortunately, we did have one day of very bad weather, so we decided to go to
Bushkill Falls...along the way, we got lost, but found a winery.
Cherry Valley Winery
Saylorsburg, PA
SOOOOO, after sampling about 20 wines, being given directions, we set off again
for our Valhalla, Bushkill Falls
ONE QUESION:
HOW THE HELL DOES ANYONE EXPECT ME TO DRIVE DRUNK AND TRY TO
LOOK OUT MY DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW AT THIS SIGN???
Bushkill Falls
Bushkill, PA
First part of the trip was beautiful, although the wooden
walkways and steps were slippery and treacherous
HOWEVER, the Irishman of the group thought it would be a good idea to bring
along a bottle of wine to make the trip more festive. The problem was, we
were only 1/3 of the way through our trip AND at the lowest elevation of the
entire topography, so we had a shitload of hiking to do after and while imbibing
(Straight from the bottle, of course)
All in all, it was a good time and it was sad to leave!
The honeymoon was NOT over yet, though! We still had to go visit my Best
Man and his Family in Lancaster, PA over Labor Day Weekend. Before we did
that though, we attended the Williamstown American Legion on 9.1.06 for Night of
Champions. It is a gathering that honors past Football Championships won
by my High School Alma Mater, Williams Valley. Well, WGAL of Lancaster was
broadcasting LIVE from the Legion during its Football Friday Broadcast at
11:30pm. Gabie and I actually got on TV for this, so it was pretty cool.
Well, we don't like to go to anyone's house empty handed, so what better gift
than some wine, courtesty of Mount Hope Winery.
It was a night of debauchery, from pounding wine, Kamora, Tuaca, Lancaster
Brewing Company Beers, going to Annie Bailey's Irish Pub to find the douche
bags, upon opening and getting DirecTV, didn't order ESPN Game Plan and had USC-Arkansas
on instead of Notre Dame-Georgia Tech. We ended back at Hap and Karen's
house for more drinking. A well-rounded night!
